When we talk about the adoption of the Global Framework on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, we are not only talking about securing the conditions of foreigners in Slovakia and improving immigration management, but also about <strong>impact on Slovak citizens<\/strong>, living abroad, both current and future, or on coordination and cooperation between the Slovak Republic, as a country of origin, and other destination countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Global Compact on Migration<\/strong> (Global Framework on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration; abbreviated as GCM) is a policy document that aims to improve international cooperation between states in the field of migration. It does not <strong>no new obligations<\/strong>, does not introduce any new rights. Nevertheless, there is a discourse in society about this document that misinterprets its content and misleads about its impact.<\/p>\n<p>We regret the current debate, led by some parliamentary parties, as well as the lack of and inconsistent communication from the government regarding <strong>informing the public about the content of the GCM document<\/strong>.
