{"id":15813,"date":"2018-11-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-11-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adra.sk\/spolupraca-fsev-a-adra\/"},"modified":"2018-11-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-11-23T00:00:00","slug":"spolupraca-fsev-a-adra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adra.sk\/en\/spolupraca-fsev-a-adra\/","title":{"rendered":"Seminar on Human Rights in Humanitarian Aid (as a result of cooperation between ADRA SR and FSEV UK)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In November, the <strong>Memorandum of Cooperation<\/strong> (MoU) between our organization ADRA Slovakia and the youngest faculty of Comenius University - Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences (FSEV UK).The purpose of the MoU is long-term cooperation, especially in areas such as: participation in non-curricular activities and non-formal education, <strong>deepening theoretical and practical experience<\/strong> in the field of humanitarian aid, development cooperation and management skills on specific projects in the form of internships, placements, volunteer stays, as well as consulting in the creation of final theses of students, but also <strong>support for scientific research activities in the field<\/strong> and solving specific global challenges or problems in the form of practical projects. For example, concrete cooperation in the design and implementation of Global and Development Education projects, guest lecturing, co-organising conferences and seminars, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20176\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/adra-a-fsev-uk.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One month later, on 10 December to be precise, one of the agreed areas of the Memorandum and cooperation will be implemented at the FSEV, namely in the framework of the <strong>organizing <\/strong><strong>Seminars on human rights<\/strong> humanitarian aid. The main theme of the event is to get to know and discuss - How the EU and the UN protect human rights and dignity through humanitarian and development projects of NGOs.<\/p>\n<p>During the evening seminar will be presented and\u00a0<strong>practical experience discussed<\/strong> and knowledge of how NGOs preserve the dignity and human rights of beneficiaries in their projects, directly by people on the ground - project\/programme managers, field coordinators. Examples of subtopics that will be touched upon in the seminar, and where <strong>human rights play an important role<\/strong>, mo\u017eno spomen\u00fa\u0165: za\u010dlenenie \u013eudskopr\u00e1vneho pr\u00edstupu do humanit\u00e1rnych projektov a\u00a0polit\u00edk (tzv. human rights based approach); inkl\u00fazivn\u00fd pr\u00edstup k zranite\u013en\u00fdm skup\u00edn\u00e1m; uplatnenie \u201eDo No Harm\u201c pr\u00edstupu v\u00a0ter\u00e9ne; hotovostn\u00e1 podpora beneficientov (tzv. cash based assistance); uplatnenie z\u00e1kladn\u00fdch humanit\u00e1rnych noriem (tzv. <strong>Core humanitarian standard<\/strong>); human rights vs. security; the functioning of clusters (specifically the protection cluster), prevention of violence against women, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the event is: to share and discuss with students and therefore\u00a0<strong>future policy makers, managers, scientists or humanitarian and development workers<\/strong>, what the reality looks like when it comes to human rights in humanitarian projects - what has been achieved and what needs to change<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20177\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/CHS_Diagram.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The panel discussion during the seminar will feature <strong>three female panellists<\/strong> and the moderator will be Daniel Kaba from ADRA Slovakia. The event is under the auspices of the Dean of FSEV UK: doc. Lucia Mokr\u00e1.
