Our experts try to be open with different target groups talk about warning signs violent relationships, what the intervention looks like in practice after the first contact with KIT by the abused person, as well as comprehensive assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual harassment. Let us not forget that one in three women in Slovakia has experienced or is experiencing this type of violence... That is why we must speak out about violence.

The Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of the Charles University in Bratislava was visited by lawyer Daniela Borzová and social worker Veronika Morháčová, who currently form the KIT team, on 12 March. The discussion, full of honest questions, analysis of concrete cases of abuse, important arguments and sensitive moments, lasted up to three hours! „Young people also asked about violence against men. Those present together described not only the modus operandi of the rapists themselves, the experience of violence by the victims, but also the approaches of the police when reporting an attack, as well as the social probation and other helping professions,“ describes the course of the discussion the founder of KIT, Danka Borzová.

All of this suggests that college men and women have interest in finding ways Detecting manipulation in relationships and helping to resolve manifestations of abusive relationships. There, first there was a presentation of ADRA and specially KIT, then the possibilities of help and support for victims, followed by a quiz and discussion on early detection of violence, as well as on intervention and work with clients, female clients.

KIT's lawyer, Daniela Borzová, mentioned the following at this very event encouraging numbers: „Out of four dozen clients, twelve of them managed to get out of the vicious circle of violence and manipulation thanks to our comprehensive support, and today they see the world in a positive, colourful way again.“ What could be better feedback and proof of this, that our help is effective, and that it makes a difference at home, like this?

At the end of March we will have another similarly tuned discussion in Nitra, in mid-April we will discuss violence against children and adults with male and female viewers after the screening of the film ‚Alternating Care‘ again in Bratislava.
