September Bahamas. Devastated the islands <strong>Abaco and Grand<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Bahamas<\/strong>. So far, it has officially claimed 53 victims and 692 people are officially missing. 57% devastated<br \/>\nInfrastructure. <strong>76 000 people<\/strong> were affected by the hurricane's aftermath, <strong>14 000 people<\/strong> the roof was lost<br \/>\nover your head.<br \/>\nHumanitarian teams from the international ADRA network were on the ground immediately after the disaster,<br \/>\nwhere they provide:<br \/>\nADRA, in cooperation with Water Mission, is installing water filtration units in <strong>9 schools<\/strong>,<br \/>\nwhich will provide drinking water for <strong>5 000 students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>ADRA provides hot meals for more than <strong>250<\/strong> disabled who have lost the roof over their heads.<br \/>\nIt will provide more than 9,000 lunches over the next 3 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>ADRA distributed <strong>5 pallets<\/strong> food and hygiene packages and <strong>500 packages<\/strong> Durable food.<\/p>\n<p>ADRA, in partnership with the local Ministry of Education, provides meals for pupils in 6 schools.<\/p>\n<p>ADRA distributed <strong>1500 hygiene packs<\/strong> on the island of Grand Bahama and <strong>1500<\/strong> in the Abaco Islands.<br \/>\nRead more <strong>2000 hygiene packs<\/strong> will be distributed on 5 October.<\/p>\n<p>ADRA's international team is directly involved in the coordination of immediate post-disaster relief<br \/>\nin place. It also prepares development aid projects for disaster relief.
