The discussion will help you to better understand their role in the project cycle of volunteer secondments, especially in the framework of the EU Aid Volunteers initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion will be in English and French with simultaneous interpretation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sending organisations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elena Popescu, International Cooperation Project Manager, Association ADICE, France<\/p>\n<p>The French organisation ADICE was founded in 1999 in Roubaix. For more than 15 years it has been active in the implementation of projects in the field of humanitarian aid, development and volunteering. In the framework of these projects, ADICE has acquired an impressive network of partners in EU and non-EU countries and has enabled 2 604 people to undertake an international mobility project to 75 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Ingird Varov, Project Manager, MTU Mondo, Estonia<\/p>\n<p>Mondo was founded in 2007 as the first humanitarian organisation in Estonia. Its activities are focused on development cooperation, global education and humanitarian aid, specializing in the Health and Education sectors. Currently Mondo implements projects in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Myanmar, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Host organisations: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mahmoud Allioua, President, Association Isaaf Jera - Solidarit\u00e9 et D\u00e9veloppement, Morocco<\/p>\n<p>Isaaf Jerada was founded in 2001 as a solidarity and social development organization. Its activities aim to promote economic, social and human development in the province of Jerada and the wider region, responding to the needs of the local population.<\/p>\n<p>Esther Naliaka Mumia, Project Director, Western Focus Community Organisation, Kenya<\/p>\n<p>WEFOCO is a community-based organization in Shianda (western Kenya), made up of mostly women's groups, and focusing on working with orphans, families affected by HIV\/AIDS and generating income for people in need. WEFOCO regularly hosts international volunteers who bring their expertise in areas such as education, tailoring, design, community work, economics and healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Kristi Qendro, Program Director, ADRA Albania, Albania<\/p>\n<p>ADRA's international network branch in Albania was established in 1991 as one of the first Albanian NGOs and started its humanitarian activities in many crisis situations such as the Shkodra floods or the Kosovo refugee crisis in the 1990s. ADRA Albania works directly with vulnerable communities, supporting local cooperation, but also has a long experience in implementing international projects.<\/p>\n<p>Moderator:Boba Markovi\u010d Baluchov\u00e1<\/p>\n<p>Boba M. Baluchov\u00e1 is the Communications Manager of Ambrely - a Slovak platform of development organisations. In the past she has worked for UNDP for Europe and CIS, Charity Slovakia, ADRA Slovakia and several European universities. For more information: <u><a href=\"https:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/eu-aid-volunteer_en\">https:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/eu-aid-volunteer_en<\/a><\/u>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing you!<\/p>\n<p>____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>28.1.2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yesterday we e-hosted an international exchange of people connected by the world of volunteering<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We were very pleased with the high turnout for yesterday's webinar \u201eVolunteer Secondments in the (post)covid-19 Era.\u201c More than 50 participants from all over the world took part in the second online roundtable where 6 guests - representatives of sending organisations (Adice from France, MT\u00dc Mondo from Estonia) and host organisations (ADRA Albania, Western Focus Community Organisation Kenya, Isaaf Jerada from Morocco, Osvswa - Orissa State Volunteers and Social Workers Association from India) shared their experiences and reflections on the current situation.<\/p>\n<p>We discussed the current and future challenges related to the deployment of EU Aid volunteers from the perspective of project implementation, as well as field work with vulnerable communities.
