The graduates of the training process are refugees who have been given the opportunity to settle here, along with the local people. Each of them is a trainer for their own group of 10-15 neighbors in their neighborhood. In this way, we have helped more than 550 families to make full use of the land around their dwellings so that they are able to feed their families and also sell part of their harvest in local markets.

In addition to the necessary education and practical experience, they also received the necessary gardening tools, seeds and seedlings to start their own mini-farm.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of OPM (Office of the Prime Minister for Refugees), UNHCR and other project partners.

Both the graduates and our partners greatly appreciated the importance of this project, which instead of „giving fish away“ taught people how to „fish“ and thus gave them a livelihood for life.

It is now up to us and our partners to take the project further. Our aim is to continue with the graduates of the course who have become trainers themselves and help them to involve hundreds more families in the process. (There are 123,000 refugees and new arrivals in the area...) We believe that the best way to help refugees is to support them to be able to support their families in their natural environment.

You too can help at least one family achieve food sovereignty. The training for one farmer, including gardening tools, seeds and seedlings, is worth 80 euros.
