On 20.12.2022, the Secretary of State, Mrs. <\/span>Ingrid Brock<\/span> and the Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Makoto Nakagawa from the Embassy of Japan in Slovakia, <\/span>and the director <\/span>SlovakAid<\/span> Mr Tomas Bokor. This symbolic gesture showed that our countries continue to stand by Ukraine and want to help people who have lost access to the most basic needs - food, personal hygiene products and warm clothes - as a result of the war.<\/span><\/div>\n

During the visit, the representatives of both countries were able to see what our humanitarian aid looks like on the ground, hear the challenges we face, as well as the moving stories of our Ukrainian staff who are so actively involved in helping their compatriots in Ukraine.<\/div>\n

Thank you to the donor SlovakAid<\/span><\/em>, which will allow us to send 6 trucks with 7 920 food and hygiene parcels to help more than 23 000 displaced people in newly liberated areas in Ukraine, and donors <\/span>Japan Platform<\/span><\/em> a <\/span>ADRA Japan<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>which will send an additional 12 trucks with 15 840 food and hygiene packages, and pto help more than 47 500 displaced people in the war-torn areas of southern and eastern Ukraine. We will also hand over 4 trucks with warm clothes and generators to the displaced people in Ukraine to help them survive the harsh winter months. Distribution in Ukraine is provided in cooperation with our partner ADRA Ukraine<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The total value of humanitarian aid is more than \u20ac 1 500 000.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
