On Sunday, the village of Lomni\u010dka near Stara \u013dubov\u0148a was hit by a devastating fire that left 50 people - 24 adults and 26 children - homeless. Residents affected by the tragedy found temporary shelter in the village's cultural centre, where an emergency situation was declared.<\/span><\/div>\n

Our crisis team responded immediately to the call for help. In consultation with the village leadership, we delivered humanitarian aid to all 13 families who had lost their homes. Our assistance included warm clothing, shoes, dry food, hygiene items, children's toys, coloring books, crayons, hats and gloves, diapers, blankets, strollers, cribs, cabinets and even a refrigerator.<\/span><\/div>\n

We were able to provide this aid mainly thanks to our donors from Bratislava and Tren\u010d\u00edn, as well as volunteers from ADRA DobroCentrum Tren\u010d\u00edn, who carefully prepared and packed the aid packages. A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed in any way.<\/span><\/div>\n

We continue to monitor the situation in Lomni\u010dka and are ready to help in case of further needs of the affected families.<\/span><\/div>\n
