We organise international crisis intervention training. We are also testing crisis preparedness in a Roma community in eastern Slovakia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week we are organizing in the High Tatras an international crisis intervention training ERT (Emergency Response Training), which includes a practical exercise and needs survey in the Roma settlement of Rak\u00fasy. The training is aimed at preparing humanitarian workers to respond quickly and effectively in the event of disasters.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

25 ADRA staff from 11 European countries, as well as from Syria, Lebanon and Ukraine are participating in the intensive training. During the week, they will undergo theoretical training and a practical simulation of post-disaster intervention, which will test their ability to work in challenging conditions and culturally sensitive environments.<\/span><\/div>\n

Participants work in teams, plan a humanitarian response according to international standards and test their emergency preparedness under the guidance of experienced trainers from Australia, the US, Brazil and EU countries.<\/span><\/div>\n

The aim of the training is to strengthen the capacity for rapid response in disasters and to create a team of specialists who will be ready to intervene anywhere in Europe or the world in the future. Successful graduates will be included in the European regional roster of crisis intervention experts. The training also contributes to building national preparedness and early crisis response plans.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
