In a small mud-brick hut covered with a cage, a family of ten crowds...<\/p>\n Teachers at our YIDA school have noticed that children are increasingly absent from class. So they visited the family to find out their situation. The father has health problems and is unable to do heavier work, so their income is insufficient. Mother Aline Uwimana<\/strong> Together with their father, they are trying to take care of their children, six of whom are about to start school. However, they do not have enough money for school fees, supplies and school uniforms. Last year, Asante was the only one who could go to school. The family was granted support from the WFP (World Food Programme), amounting to 12,000 UGX = 2.8 Euros per person per month. How they manage to survive on this is a mystery to us... When they get food, there is no money left for school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
