ADRA Slovakia is pleased to participate as a partner in the event 2026 Smolenice Grand Prix – Stanislav Jajcay Memorial, which will take place v Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Smolenice.
A tradition that brings together sports and the community
This memorial was erected in honor of the former mayor of Smolenice and founder of the successful Chemolak Smolenice cycling club. Stanislav Jajcay was actively involved in cycling until his death in 2005—as a coach, official, organizer, and mechanic.
Over the course of nearly three decades, approximately 200 young cyclists. Many of them achieved significant athletic successes, and his work left a lasting mark on Smolenice.
The event is thus not only a sports competition but also a tribute to a man who, through his perseverance, passion, and work with young people, had a significant impact on sports in the region. At the same time, this is a special edition, as 2026 will mark 20 Years Since the First Stanislav Jajcay Memorial.
What will the 2026 Smolenice Grand Prix bring?
The 2026 Smolenice Grand Prix will be part of the event The Smolenice Criterium in Road Cycling. Visitors can look forward to exciting races on the town circuit, where they’ll be able to enjoy thrilling battles between local and visiting cyclists.
The program will also include HOBBY category, intended for unlicensed cyclists and all enthusiasts of the sport who want to experience the atmosphere of a real race.
In addition to the sporting events, the organizers are putting together a rich program of side events that will be suitable for the whole family:

The event is organized by The Municipality of Smolenice, Slovak Cycling Federation and the company Simunek.sk. The event's partners include the TreeClub restaurant in Smolenice, the Ground bike shop, the humanitarian organization ADRA, and other supporters who, through their assistance, contribute to the successful organization of this sporting event.
Thanks to the cooperation of the organizers, partners, volunteers, and cycling enthusiasts, we are successfully reviving the tradition of this event, which honors the memory of Stanislav Jajcay while also providing sporting experiences for both competitors and the general public.
