ADRA at Pohoda

We packed it together in Pohoda and helped people affected by the war in Ukraine. Thank you!

This year we offered all 30 000 festival visitors the opportunity to take part in a charity activity and pack aid packages for people in Ukraine. Participants came to our green ADRA tent, located opposite the Urpiner Stage towards the tent city Biskupice, between 6 and 8 July and joined us in packing aid packages for people in Ukraine. Your good deed helped people living in war-torn cities as well as displaced people who were forced to leave their homes. Our goal was to prepare a total of 1,320 packages filled with food and hygiene products that would fill an entire truck. This prepared truck was then shipped directly to Ukraine, with the distribution of the packages to people in need being handled by our Ukrainian ADRA office.

Participants also showed their support and solidarity for the people of Ukraine by writing encouraging messages and words of support on the box.

Our great ADRA team together with Mental Health League for visitors to our tent prepared a wide range of activities and creative workshops, suitable for families with children. Festival participants learned more about our projects not only in Slovakia and Ukraine, but also in other countries around the world that are also facing the challenge of refugees - Uganda, Lebanon, Syria, and Albania.

Thank you to everyone who came to our tent, put their hand to work and helped to alleviate the ongoing suffering of the people in Ukraine.

Special thanks to the company Lunter, which provided meals for our volunteers and staff at Pohoda and donated 50 lunch vouchers worth EUR 12.

Thanks to these nutritious lunches, our team had the opportunity to regain strength and enjoy light meals, prepared with healthy products without cholesterol, preservatives and artificial colours. Thank you!
