ADRA is helping in the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Category 5 „Dorian“ hit 1-3. September Bahamas. Devastated the islands Abaco and Grand
Bahamas. So far, it has officially claimed 53 victims and 692 people are officially missing. 57% devastated
Infrastructure. 76 000 people were affected by the hurricane's aftermath, 14 000 people the roof was lost
over your head.
Humanitarian teams from the international ADRA network were on the ground immediately after the disaster,
where they provide:
ADRA, in cooperation with Water Mission, is installing water filtration units in 9 schools,
which will provide drinking water for 5 000 students.

ADRA provides hot meals for more than 250 disabled who have lost the roof over their heads.
It will provide more than 9,000 lunches over the next 3 weeks.

ADRA distributed 5 pallets food and hygiene packages and 500 packages Durable food.

ADRA, in partnership with the local Ministry of Education, provides meals for pupils in 6 schools.

ADRA distributed 1500 hygiene packs on the island of Grand Bahama and 1500 in the Abaco Islands.

ADRA's international team is directly involved in the coordination of immediate post-disaster relief
