Invitation to the ADRA evening about volunteering and Christmas cabbage soup

This year we decided to meet your busy calendars before Christmas and combine several of our activities and projects under one roof of the UNIK Community Centre into one evening event. At 6 December so don't plan another St. Nicholas or Christmas party!

We invite all our colleagues, supporters, partners and donors to an ADRA evening about volunteering and our traditional Christmas cabbage soup. The theme of the evening will touch on volunteering in developing countries, as well as volunteer management, which ADRA has been responsibly involved in for a long time. Our SlovakAid volunteer, who spent eight months in Albania - animating and educating excluded local communities in cooperation with ADRA Albania - Veronika Zimova, will personally present her volunteer „mission“ through stories and photos.

The event will take place on 6 December 2018 at 18:00 in UNIK Community Centre at 5 Ferienčíkova Street in Bratislava and the programme will be really varied and tasty. At 6pm our volunteer Veronika will talk about development cooperation, as well as the magic of volunteering and working with children in Albania. Then at 18:30, ADRA Slovakia's project manager, Alena Horváthová, will present volunteering opportunities abroad through the SlovakAid and EU Aid Volunteers programmes.

Then after 7pm you will be able to discuss our activities informally while eating Christmas cabbage soup. You can also enjoy a mini-quiz and a raffle. Participating adra-enthusiasts will not leave without a prize!

Admission is free, all are welcome. More information can also be found on our Facebook page in this event.

The event is also implemented thanks to funding from the HVM and HVA projects, the EU Aid Volunteers European Volunteering Initiative and the SlovakAid Slovak Volunteering Programme.
