ADRA EVENING - Albania through the eyes of a volunteer

Are you interested in the work of volunteers or how life is in Albania?
Come to the ADRA EVENING in Bratislava or Košice and join us in the country where we have been helping for several years. The evening will also include a competitive quiz for interesting prizes!

Bratislava - 29 November 2017 at 6 p.m. - UNIK Community Centre, Ferienčíkova 5, 1st floor

Košice - 9 December 2017 at 5.30 p.m. - Hlavná 68, 1st floor

Janka Fintová spent 2 years in Tirana, Albania as a volunteer with ADRA Slovakia with the support of the SlovakAid programme for sending volunteers to developing countries. During one year in this country she collected funds for people in need of help. She helped in schools and went to hard to reach areas of the Albanian mountains, where she brought Christmas packages to families.

- What does volunteering involve?
- How difficult is it to do development projects in Albania?
- What is life like there?
- Do you know what the typical Albanian tea „Mali“ tastes like?

You will also learn about the new opportunity to send expert volunteers abroad through the EU Aid Volunteers, which we are preparing for you thanks to the initiative Humanitarian Volunteering Management. The evening will also include a quiz about Albania and the winners will receive interesting prizes. We look forward to seeing you!
