Damaseni Byamungu

Damaseni Byamungu Age/Gender: 11 years old, boy

Parent/guardian: Janet Manizabayo - mom

Child's situation:

Janet and her four children live in an old mud dwelling, in a refugee camp, and she doesn't even have land to work.

Their father was killed during the political unrest in the Democratic Republic of Congo and they are now half orphans in a refugee camp. They face many challenges, including hunger, lack of access to education and medical care.

A household with 5 members relies on monthly financial support from the WFP (World Food Programme), but this is not enough to support the education of these children.

Therefore, 3 children dropped out of school and only one (Clodine Neema) even made it to secondary school to grade 1.

Damaseni is very eager to go to school and this is his only chance for the future.

Location: He lives in a refugee community with people from Congo, Rwanda, Burundi in Kyjaka II refugee camp in Uganda.
Family income: WFP food fund support of 12 000 UGX (3.-€)/month/person.
Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,
Sponsorship will cover: school fees, school supplies, school uniform, hot lunch.

For Damaseni Byamungu we've already found a donor family.
THANK YOU! 🙂
