Gifts for children and veterans

We delivered 500 Christmas packages to displaced children in Ukraine.

Plast trip to Ukraine: Christmas hope for children and war veterans

Our last mission this year was to Sumy and Chernihiv regions in Ukraine. With great gratitude for the support of our donors and volunteers, we embarked on a journey to bring hope and joy to those who need it most.
Together we managed to prepare 500 Christmas presents for children who were forcibly displaced from their homes or lost a parent.

Another 230 packages were handed over to war veterans whose daily struggle did not stop even after their return from the front. They are undergoing difficult rehabilitation in the Rivne Regional Hospital for War Veterans. An auxiliary team of experts is there to help them cope with these challenges. But even more important is the support of the family. The hospital has prepared rooms where family members - wives, mothers - can be with their loved ones during treatment. Together, they learn how to face the challenges that life after the war has brought them.

We continued our journey to Chernihiv Regional Children's Hospital, where we visited the children's infectious disease ward. These children, who brought not only injuries but also fear from the war, also received Christmas presents from us. We believe that even such a small gesture brought them at least a moment of relief and joy.

Then we visited a family-type orphanage where 12 children live. These children are cared for by a married couple who are replacing the family they lost during the war. Most of these children are orphans. We prepared gifts for all the children, which made them feel love and hope.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this aid: our Ukrainian volunteers in Trencin and the students of Ľudovít Štúr Gymnasium in Trencin who prepared the Christmas packages, as well as Mrs. Viera Chrastinova for her financial donation, thanks to which we were able to purchase these gifts.

Every single gift, every word of support and every smile we brought is proof that even in the darkest moments we can light up a little bit of hope.

Thank you for being a part of it!
