On 24.10.1945 the UN Charter entered into force. Since then, 24 October has been UN Day.
The United Nations Organization (UNO) is an international organization comprising most of the nations on Earth that have pledged to work together in support of the principles and objectives set out in its Charter. The UN was founded after World War II by 51 countries committed to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, and promoting social development, better standards of living, and human rights. Currently, the UN has 192 members. Slovakia became a member of the United Nations on 19 January 1993 as the successor state of Czechoslovakia.
As an international humanitarian and development agency, ADRA's work also contributes to the mission and purpose of the United Nations. As one of many examples, let our project in Lebanon contribute to SDG 6 - Ensure access to water and sanitation for all.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_row]
