ADRA Slovakia is planning to send more volunteers to third world countries thanks to the financial support of the SlovakAid grant scheme for sending volunteers to developing countries. The seconded volunteers will be part of the ADRA team in the host country.
ADRA volunteers' countries of operation:
1. Kenya (Busia)
Length of stay: 6 - 12 months
Start date: tentatively - September/October 2017
2. Albania (Tirana)
Length of stay: 6 - 12 months
Start date: tentatively - September/October 2017
3. Philippines (Silang - Cavite/Manila)
Length of stay: 6 - 12 months
Start date: tentatively - September/October 2017
4. Papua New Guinea (Lae)
Length of stay: 6 months
Start date: tentatively - September/October 2017
What will be your job description?
-
Project management (experience in writing project proposals welcome)
- assist in the local organisation with various activities and development or humanitarian projects

Fundraising (creating fundraising campaigns, searching for potential donors)
- search for potential cooperation opportunities in the target country, new grant calls, approach donors

Communication
- communicate regularly with the sending organization (ADRA Slovakia), write articles, reports, manage the budget, create photo and video documentation

Social Entrepreneurship - Papua New Guinea
- helping to set up projects so that they are sustainable after their official end through external funding by finding a way to monetize the project activities and bring long-term help to the local population
- to represent the sending organisation and the donor externally before the Slovak authorities and foreign entities in the target country
- take an active part in activities related to the volunteering placement after returning from the destination country

What do we expect from you?
- enthusiasm, proactive approach, flexibility, high level of autonomy and responsibility, organisational skills and sense of teamwork
- motivation to work in a developing country and in an international team
- age: 22 - 38 years
- educational qualifications - min. university degree 1.
- English language at a minimum level of C1
- Italian language an advantage (Albania)
- experience in social entrepreneurship an advantage - Papua New Guinea
- pworking with PC a good knowledge package Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- advantage is:
- previous experience in development projects
- education in development studies or project management, marketing
- living in a developing country
- another foreign language
