The situation of the DSS in which Covid-19 occurred is dramatic. Many sick clients and staff. For several weeks now, volunteers from our HELP teams have been helping in the most affected homes.
ADRA is looking for more volunteers for the HELP team. Who can join?
- Healthcare professionals, medics, caregivers, nursing assistants, people with experience of caring for the elderly
- Covid-19 survivors, vaccination completion, or experience working in an infectious zone
- Working in red zones with covid-19 positive clients, (all day in a space suit)
- Continuous 24/7 service in a „bubble“ on a closed ward in turns of 4-7 days, or on day and night duty
- Coping with the onslaught and stress, accommodation directly on the ward...
Job description: day and night care for sick seniors in the DSS. Feed, administer medication, help with hygiene, assist with daily needs, show compassion...
