Esther Kamole
Age/Gender: 8 years old, girl
Esther lives with her mother and four other siblings in Kyaka II refugee camp. Her mother's first husband died during the war in the Congo, leaving her with three children; when she got to Uganda, she married another man who also has a second wife. He only buys food for Kiku and her children once in a while, but does not systematically support them to go to school because they are not his biological children.
The family was dependent on the elder son, who is now nineteen years old. He used to go to the community to work for food, but now he has fallen ill and cannot work. This complicates life for the whole family, including the children's education. The mother was operated on during one of the births and has health problems for which she cannot work manually.
Kika lives in her small hut with her five children. Her neighbours, with whom she has good relations, help her.
Family income:
The family is dependent on monthly support and the elder son, who used to contribute to the running of the household, is now ill and out of work.
Kika had a business selling fish, but when she was operated on she did not continue and the capital was used for her treatment. She is looking for any support she can get so she can start her business again and support her children.
Sponsorship support is needed so that Esther can start school and receive at least a basic education, as well as a hot lunch every day. If we help this child to get a good education, she can have a good future in life.
Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,
Sponsorship will cover: school fees, school supplies, school uniform, hot lunch, basic medicines and first aid for children at school.
Esther Kamole has already found a donor family.
THANK YOU!
