Come to Albania for 12 months and help improve the lives of marginalised communities! The seconded volunteer will receive a monthly pocket allowance of €880 (net) to cover costs at the place of operation.
ADRA Albania has for many years focused on supporting marginalised groups such as Roma, Egyptians and returnees. Through various projects, it addresses critical societal issues such as discrimination, low levels of education and economic instability. If you want to be part of this important process and gain practical experience in project management, PR and fieldwork, this position is for you!
Your tasks will include:
In project management:
- Assistance in writing project applications.
- Seeking grant opportunities, fundraising, building partnerships.
- Assisting in the preparation and writing of project reports, data collection and analysis.
- Creation of PR materials, social media management and communication with the media.
- Strengthening the team's capacity by sharing best practices and experiences from Slovakia and the EU.
- Participation in meetings with donors and partners.
In fieldwork:
- Monitoring visits to local communities.
- Assistance in organising training, awareness campaigns and events.
- Interacting with the local community, identifying their needs and supporting their integration.
- Working with children and youth in communities.
Who is the ideal candidate?
We are looking for a volunteer who has:
- A university degree in a relevant field (social work, project management, international relations, development studies).
- Experience in project management, project writing and administration.
- Knowledge of working in the non-profit sector (foreign experience is an advantage).
- Excellent knowledge of English and MS Office.
- Creative thinking, experience in PR, copywriting or social media management (an advantage).
- Flexibility, ability to adapt to local conditions and willingness to work in different areas.

The costs of volunteering, including flights, insurance, vaccinations, are fully covered by ADRA and donors. Volunteers receive a monthly pocket allowance (lump sum) of €880 net to cover additional costs in the field. These costs include e.g. food, local travel costs, communication, etc.
