Congress of Families 2022

We took part in the Congress of Families in Štrbské Pleso. During the 3-day stay we talked about relationships, spiritual values and personal boundaries.

The topics we addressed this year were more than topical. We talked about how to sensitively relate to people who are in difficult situations, where our personal boundaries are, how to set them properly, and how to prevent burnout.

During the training entitled „The Labyrinth of Relationships and the Way Out,“ we were addressed by Czech psychiatrist Max Kašparů, who used stories from his own medical practice to analyze interpersonal relationships and cultural and spiritual values, as well as the consequences of their absence. The psychotherapist Katarina Bojdová was also a special guest, who revealed to us how we can improve our relationships with our loved ones and what we need to do so.

The training was mainly for ADRA volunteers who have been supporting us for a long time and are involved in various volunteer activities, but we also welcomed other participants of the Congress of Families.

In addition to self-education, we also connected with the Tatra nature and enjoyed the concert of musician Pavel Helan, who played for both children and adults. As part of the concert, we held a fundraiser, the proceeds of which will go to help families in Ukraine.
