Child's situation:

Doreen lives in the Nabweru North II slum on the outskirts of Kampala. She is an abandoned child being cared for by her aunt. She lives in a slum area and is exposed to daily threats of disease and bullying.
Her carer is unable to support her needs as she is currently unemployed. They are dependent on the help of well-wishers.
He has no permanent source of income and living conditions are poor.
Support is essential to ensure the child's education and basic living needs.
School fees, which include food, will provide for the basic necessities of life in addition to education.
If we help this child to get a good education, he or she may be able to help other children in need in the future.

Family income: No steady income, just donations and income from odd jobs in the neighborhood, most often for food.

 

Sponsorship support needed: 35.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: school fees, school supplies, school uniform, hot lunch, basic medicines and first aid for children at school.
