Mawuwa Mukamba

Age/Gender: By birth. 2018, girl

Parent/Guardian: Mazambi Mukamba - mom

Mawuwa lives with his parents, four siblings and grandparents in a mud hut in Kyaka II refugee camp. Dad is the sole breadwinner, while Mawuwa's mother stays at home, caring for the children and her sick grandmother, whose treatment is difficult and expensive. The father does not have a permanent job, he just looks for odd jobs. It is difficult for him to provide food, medicine and school fees for the children for the family. That is why some of the children have had to drop out of public school.

One of the children has been identified by teachers as an exceptionally bright student. When he had been absent from school for a long time they visited the family to assess the situation. They advised the family to put the children in the YIDA school, which is the only school in the area with a sponsorship program to support the children's education.

The YIDA school also accepted one of the children without tuition fees. However, thanks to the HelpKids program, we will help all five children to be able to return to school.

Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: With your support through Help Kids, you will provide one child every day with a hot meal, school uniform, school supplies and basic health care - first aid for school children.

Mawuwa Mukamba has already found her donor family.
THANK YOU!🙂
