Child's situation: Meshach lives with his siblings in a flimsy mud hut covered with a tarp. They live in extreme poverty and the mother has not been able to ensure that the children can go to school. She takes the opportunity to earn an occasional income by doing menial jobs with small farmers.
They depend on financial support from the WFP (World Food Programme), which is not enough to cover basic needs.
Thanks to the HELP kids program, Mesach also got a chance to go to school and get a hot lunch every day.
Location: He lives in a refugee community with people from Congo, Rwanda, Burundi in Kyjaka Refugee Camp II part of Sweswe Dam I in Uganda.
Family income: Support from the WFP Food Fund of UGX 13,000 (€3.50)/month/person.
Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,
Sponsorship will cover: school fees, school supplies, school uniform, hot lunch.
