Meshack Kimathe

Age/Gender: By birth. 2017, male

Parent: Richard Vutya - father

Meshack lives with his two siblings in the Kyaka II refugee settlement in Uganda.

His father, Richard Vutya, and his wife Fazili Kavugho are struggling to provide for the family. Richard used to work as a porter for construction companies, but due to the crisis in the construction industry, he lost his job and was no longer able to pay his children's school fees and provide for their other basic needs. Therefore, the children had to discontinue their schooling.

Due to the financial crisis, the WFP (World Food Programme) has withdrawn its monthly support to these families, making their situation even more difficult. They are dependent on income from small odd jobs.

The YIDA school management decided to visit the family and find out why the children had stopped going to school. At the family's request, they enrolled the children in the HelpKids program so that they could return to school.

The family lives in a mud dwelling with a thatched roof and has great difficulty providing food for each day and basic necessities for the children. For the children, the opportunity to go to school is also an opportunity to get one hot meal every day. (Often this is the only proper meal of the day).

Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: With your support through Help Kids, you will provide one child every day with a hot meal, school uniform, school supplies and basic health care - first aid for school children.

I want to support the HelpKids Kyjaka II program.

I hereby commit myself to systematically support the child's education:
