Age/Gender: By birth. 2012, boy
Parent/Guardian: Bahati Masudi - neighbour
Mugisha is an orphan. He grew up with his grandmother, but she passed away in 2022. After his grandmother's death, Mugisha was taken in by neighbours who are taking care of him along with their four children. This family is struggling to pay school fees for all five children. Therefore, they applied to YIDA School for support to pay the school fees for this orphaned boy.
The family receives monthly social support, which is insufficient for basic needs. The wife also runs a small business selling fish and from there they raise money to facilitate school requirements for all the children.
Family situation:
The family is living in the Kyaka II refugee camp. Sweswe Dam II, on land donated to them by the local government. Here they built an earthen hut and were also given a cell to cover the roof, but after years it is already crumbling, so during the rainy season their hut leaks.
There are five children in the family They depend on a small business - the mother sells fish in the market. From her income she pays for basic living and school supplies for all the children... The husband does not have a steady job, which causes the family to struggle for basic needs. The family receives monthly social support, but this is not enough to meet basic needs.
Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,
