Child's situation:

Jackie lives with her mother in the Nabweru North II slum on the outskirts of Kampala. Her mother is poor and cannot afford to pay the cost of primary education so that Jackie can go to school. She has no source of income and is dependent on the community for help.

The mother is also illiterate and lives a very poor lifestyle. She has no sustainable source of income and living conditions are very poor.

Providing an education for this little girl will give her a chance to do better in life than her mother in the future. A hot lunch at school is often the only proper meal of the day for Jackie.

 

Family income: No steady income, only from odd jobs in the neighborhood, mostly for food.

 

Sponsorship support needed: 35.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: school fees, school supplies, school uniform, hot lunch, basic medicines and first aid for children at school.
