New reinforcement on the farm

Our monitoring trip to Uganda was combined with the introduction of a new SlovakAid volunteer, Anička, to ADRA Uganda.

Anička will be working in Kyaka II refugee camp, where we have been conducting farmer trainings for many years. In addition to her farming skills, she will also use her teaching experience here to build relationships with local children. But before we cross the borders of the refugee camp, we still have our hands full in the capital, Kampala.

We had a meeting with representatives of the Uganda Pioneers Association (UPA), where we will start sending volunteers through the European Solidarity Corps Humanitarian Volunteering Programme in November. We will send a total of 8 motivated people from EU countries, building on the successful cooperation with UPA in previous years.

We will publish information on the postings to Uganda soon.
If you are interested in volunteering abroad, visit the European Solidarity Corps website to find out about the conditions of the programme.
