„Heart on the Palm“ award“

ADRA and Who Will Help Ukraine received the Heart on the Palm award for their volunteer activities.

This year we were also present at the „Heart on the Palm“ award ceremony, which is dedicated to volunteers, volunteers, and organizations dedicated to helping people in need.

Initiative Who will help Ukraine Aupark, which we have been covering since May, received the „Extraordinary Award for Volunteering with a Community Benefit“. Hundreds of willing and dedicated volunteers have donated thousands of hours to help the Ukrainian refugees and have confirmed that there are still people who want to help others and contribute to a better world. With your commitment, together we have been able to help thousands of people. Thank you!

A big thank you also goes to the coordinators of the Humanitarian Aid Site, Saška and Janka. Your ability to coordinate and manage a team is truly superhuman. You are an example for us of how even the most difficult tasks can be managed successfully. Thank you for your dedication and tireless work, and we are delighted to work with such great coordinators as you.

For our volunteer projects abroad we have received the „Award for long-term contribution in sending volunteers under the brand SlovakAid„. Over the past decade, we have sent dozens of volunteers to countries in the Global South to help non-profit organizations and vulnerable communities in Albania, Ecuador, the Philippines, Georgia, Kenya, Lebanon, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine, Kenya, the Philippines, Lebanon, Serbia, Ukraine, and Vietnam. Three of our SlovakAid volunteers were awarded the „Volunteer of the Year“ award for their work.

Thank you Platform of Volunteer Centres and Organisations for organizing the event and congratulations to all the winners.
