More than 300 volunteers from Humanitarian aid locations won the Heart on the Palm award in the „Volunteer Group“ category. During the last ten months, they have donated more than 20,000 volunteer hours to help those who have left the country, and have helped more than 25,000 Ukrainian families in Bratislava and the surrounding area.

 

 

Volunteers are the heart of our initiative and the running of the Humanitarian Aid Site would not be possible without them. They receive and distribute material aid, communicate with beneficiaries, consult on difficult situations and help refugees to integrate in Slovakia. Special thanks go to the coordinators of the Relief Centre - Janka and Saska, who coordinate all the activities of the Place, lead volunteer teams, communicate with donors, and ensure that the necessary aid gets into the hands of the most vulnerable.
