Omar Sharukan

Age/Gender: By birth. 2014, male

Parent/Guardian: Inez leonia - mother

Omar lives with his mother and three other siblings in the Kyaka II refugee settlement. After the death of their father, the children were left semi-orphans and their mother became the breadwinner.

Prior to his death, my father had been providing for his family, earning a small income by repairing motorbikes, from which he was able to provide for the household and the basic needs of his children. His death robbed the family of their livelihood. They are now dependent on monthly food rations from the WFP (World Food Programme). Therefore, the family is constantly suffering from shortages and struggling to provide food, basic necessities of life and school fees for the children. However, the mother realizes the importance of education, so she tries to keep the children in school.

Over time, the situation worsened when monthly WFP benefits were withdrawn, further increasing the family's vulnerability. In an effort to become self-sufficient and provide for her children, Ineeza decided to take a sewing course and acquired tailoring skills. However, she does not currently have the basic financial input to open a small tailoring shop so that she can have a stable income and adequately provide for her children.

The children are studying at the YIDA school, so the mother approached the school management with a request to be included in the HelpKids sponsorship programme so that the children could continue their education.

But with HelpKids, we will help to make it Omar he could still go to school.

Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: With your support through Help Kids, you will provide one child every day with a hot meal, school uniform, school supplies and basic health care - first aid for school children.

Omar Sharukan has already found his donor family.
THANK YOU!🙂
