Dear volunteers,
After many years we are renewing the activity of ADRA summer work camps for youth and volunteers. It is an opportunity to do something really useful = to get involved in practical help for people who really need it. It won't be easy, because we will touch the suffering of people for which we don't know an explanation or a real solution. We can just get over ourselves for a while and help as much as we can for a few days... We are preparing the camp as an international one, because ADRA volunteers - young people from the Netherlands, Italy and Finland - have also expressed interest.
We are returning to the Social Services Home in Pohorelska Maša, where ADRA has helped in the past and where they still remember this service fondly. In this home there are 120 clients with physical and mental disabilities of different degrees - from independent to lying patients who need constant help. Our ministry will focus on serving the clients but also practical activities in the renovation of the home's facilities and park.
