Help for families in Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, we handed out humanitarian aid packages to 280 families.

Our colleague Jozef Baňás writes from Kharkiv, Ukraine: „After visiting the city of Bucha, where we met with the team of our partner ADRA Ukraine, we set off for Kharkiv with our aid packages. We arrived here in the early morning hours and immediately headed to the local team of ADRA volunteers who are here to distribute our humanitarian aid.

This time, the aid was intended for seniors who had lost their homes and remained dependent on humanitarian aid. Two hundred and eighty families received 15 kg of food and hygiene products.

Immediately after our assistance was handed over, however, sirens sounded and a missile alert was sounded. Together with the locals, we immediately headed to an underground shelter, where we waited in emergency conditions until the threat had passed.“

We'll tell you about what it's like to sit in a hospital shelter during explosions in our next post.
