We delivered humanitarian aid packages to displaced elderly people in Kharkiv and its surroundings.
With the help of a charitable foundation Kolochati a Kharkiv Restoration Fund we handed over food parcels to displaced seniors who found shelter in the Kharkiv aid centre. Some of the seniors are bedridden or wheelchair-bound, and many of them move only with the help of a walker. Most of the displaced seniors are over 80 years old, and one lady even celebrated her 100th birthday recently!
Before the war, many Ukrainian seniors were still on their own. They were perhaps the hardest hit by the war. Destroyed homes, unavailability of health care, loneliness... We are doing everything we can not to leave them alone. The aid packages contain 15 kg. of non-perishable food and hygiene items.

The handover of humanitarian aid to the partners took place in the presence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine, Mr. Marek Šafin.
