Another truckload of medical supplies is on its way from Austria to Slovakia. This time, our team traveled to the city of Leoben, where the local hospital donated equipment it will no longer be using.
They managed to load 36 adjustable beds, 20 nightstands, and other equipment—including baby bathtubs—onto the truck.
Aid is now being sent to Slovakia, where some of the supplies will be distributed to social service facilities. The rest will be sent on to Ukraine, to facilities in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
This assistance is the result of a collaboration that connects hospitals and facilities in Austria with organizations and facilities in need of equipment in Slovakia and Ukraine. Items that are no longer needed at one facility can thus be given a second life and continue to serve people who need them.
We are pleased that the collaboration between ADRA Slovakia and its partners in Austria continues to grow. We would like to thank the hospital in Leoben for the donated equipment and everyone who helped load and transport it.
