ADRA is also helping after a devastating fire that left more than 70 people homeless.
A devastating fire occurred in a settlement in Telgart on Wednesday night and Thursday, completely destroying eight wooden huts, killing one elderly person and leaving over 70 locals homeless.
According to the mayor Jozef Štajer, more than half of the settlement burned down „It is about ten families, that's a lot of people and especially children who have nowhere to sleep this night. We would urgently need some unimobunks or tents,“ says Mayor Štajer, who is coordinating aid in cooperation with the district office.
We have not remained indifferent to this tragedy and this morning we have already handed over first aid in the form of food and clothing to the affected families in the settlement.
