Dear friends of charity.
We would like to express our great admiration and gratitude for the extraordinary dedication and generosity you have shown with your contributions to the public collection organized by ADRA in support of the people affected by the tragic explosion and fire of the apartment building in Prešov. We have closed the public collection as of 31.1.2020. The total proceeds of this public collection in ADRA's account are 14 853,92 €. Thank you.
The funds from this public collection will be donated by ADRA in full in the form of donation contracts directly to the personal accounts of five specific affected families/individuals whose stories we know intimately. They include single pensioners, a mother with a child, a cancer patient, people who do not have loved ones to help them... For obvious reasons we do not want to publish their names.
The funds are intended to cover their costs associated with the provision of alternative housing and basic living needs.
We would also like to convey our sincere thanks from the donors. It belongs to all of you who contributed to the public collection and helped to alleviate their difficult situation.
