SlovakAid project launched

Solidarity and commitment to help the people of Ukraine continues even as the conflict escalates. The first SlovakAid aid truck is on its way to Ukraine.

Our skilled ADRA team and volunteers managed to complete 33 pallets of humanitarian aid in the last few days, which we shipped to Ukraine in a large truck. Our humanitarian aid consists of family aid packages containing non-perishable food and hygiene items. This continues to be an emergency relief effort, with the UN estimating that up to 12 million people in Ukraine are experiencing food shortages.

Our humanitarian aid project, funded by the Official Development Assistance of the Slovak Republic, is a response to this challenge. SlovakAid, which will strengthen food security and improve access to basic sanitation for 23 760 people in Ukraine. It will reach 7 920 households in liberated Ukrainian towns, cities with destroyed infrastructure and areas with limited access to food.
