We will repair a special school in Červenice near Prešov, which is the only one in Slovakia that provides care for children with multiple visual impairments.
The special school in Červenice near Prešov is the only one in Slovakia that provides care for children with multiple visual and hearing impairments.
Thanks to support from the TX Foundation, we will soon begin construction of a new pavilion here that will significantly improve conditions for these children.

This weekend the school was visited by the President of the TzuXing Charitable Foundation, Ms. Liza LIN, along with Freda Mirklis and Anastasia Shay. Together with the headmistress of the school Iveta Krajčirović, the mayor of the village Marian Zeleňák, the parish priest Radoslav Greg, we signed a memorandum of cooperation on this important project.
Within a year and within a day, we will build a new pavilion here that will allow a barrier-free connection between the school and the rehabilitation gym, provide hydrotherapy facilities, new classrooms and a relaxation room. Every activity here will be linked to tactile aids so that children can explore the world through touch.
The headmistress of the school Iveta Krajčirovičová welcomes the new project with joy:
„In our special school we provide care for 42 children with multiple disabilities of vision, hearing, motor and mental disorders. Several of them are immobile. We have to carry them up the stairs to the gymnasium on the second floor of the building for rehabilitation. The new pavilion will be a huge help to us, especially the wheelchair access and hydrotherapy will greatly improve the health of our children.“
This school is a place where children learn to perceive the world through touch. However, the teachers fight for them twice - not only in the educational process, but also outside of it, when they have to find funding to run the school.
