Cooperation with Who will help Ukraine

We are entering into cooperation with the initiative Who will help Ukraine, in operation Humanitarian aid locations in Bratislava Aupark.

In the Humanitarian Relief Site in Bratislava's Aupark, refugees will find material aid.

„The most powerful moment for me is when I observe the extraordinary dedication of the volunteers and donors who have been systematically and tirelessly helping in Aupark for the past three months. I also appreciate the service of the people from Ukraine. They themselves have enough to worry about to provide for their basic needs, yet they give their time and effort to alleviate the suffering of their compatriots. We know that many of the volunteers are already exhausted, but help is still very much needed. That is why we have decided to support the Who Will Help Ukraine initiative and join the Humanitarian Aid Site partnership. We are convinced that if we combine our strength, experience and resources, we can help more effectively,“ says Stanislav Bielik, Director of ADRA Slovakia.

More than 4 months have passed since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. We admire the perseverance of the volunteers and small donors and want to thank them.

  • They have provided assistance to Ukrainian families more than 15,000 times.
  • During this period, more than 11 000 donors - individuals, companies, schools and other organisations - visited the facility.
  • The estimated value of the aid (food and hygiene items only) is over EUR 400 000.
  • All this was possible with the help of Slovak and Ukrainian volunteers, who came to the centre more than 5000 times.
You can also donate a bag of aid. Just go to our ADRA HelpShop.
This extremely dedicated team was put together and led for 3 months by Andrea Cocher - also as a volunteer. Thank you Andrejka, you have our great respect. You have set the bar really high.

We are not slowing down in our support for Ukrainian families and we are launching another round of assistance, which will focus on families with several children and seniors who are without family.

In addition, we have joined forces with a team of volunteers from Who Will Help Ukraine, shared by we are also our sources of help. Our Help Team Bus was loaded at the company's warehouse in Košice GEFCO, which we thank for providing free storage space, and to the Humanitarian Relief Site in Aupark we imported 5 tons of toiletries, shampoos and soaps donated by our French partners.

Please get involved before the summer in the next wave of help that is still needed. It is only thanks to you, our donors, that help can be targeted and fast. In our Humanitarian aid locations in Aupark in Bratislava we all see and perceive the need and great interest for such help from the side of the departed. Therefore, thank you for your continued involvement and support.

Thank you and we hope that with your help we can help more.
