Sportsmen and sportswomen supported the humanitarian initiative Rodina Rodine, through which we help people in Ukraine.
The project of the Ministry of Education, Team Slovakia, covers more than two hundred elite Slovak sportsmen and sportswomen.
One of them is basketball player Zuzana Žirková, who became a volunteer for a while and helped us prepare food aid packages that we send to Ukraine. But this is not the only way Zuzana helps. As she says, two Ukrainian mothers with their children have already found shelter in her house.
We thank the athletes and Team Slovakia representatives for their support and willingness to help.
More than 3,000 families, individuals and centres in Ukraine have already received aid packages containing 15 kg of non-perishable food and hygiene items.
