In the special school in Červenice we are building a new pavilion for children with combined disabilities: deaf and blind at the same time, but also with physical, mental and other combinations of severe disabilities.

The new pavilion will house specialist classes, a multisensory laboratory and hydrotherapy, while also creating a connecting corridor and barrier-free link between the school, boarding, dining and gymnasium.

Current conditions: 

The school does not have hydrotherapy facilities, which are particularly needed for children with multiple disabilities and bedridden children. They temporarily use a bath tub in the bathroom, but it is not accessible for wheelchair users and is not suitable for rehabilitation.

The school has a small rehabilitation gym in an adjacent building on the first floor, but it is not connected by a corridor and this building does not have an elevator. Therefore, children who are lying down or in wheelchairs do not have access or have to be carried up the stairs by their carers.
