Stephane Murula

Age/Gender: By birth. 2016, male

Parent/Guardian: Nabintu Elizabeth

The family lives in a small earthen dwelling covered with straw and thatch. Elizabeth struggles to provide the basic necessities for the family. The family paid for the child's school fees from the monthly ration provided by the WFP (World Food Programme), but the WFP ended its support and the family began to struggle to survive.

Elizabeth is a single mother of three whose husband died during the war and she came to a refugee camp with her children. The youngest of the three children attends a YIDA school and the others are enrolled in a government school (where 150 children are taught in one class).

YIDA school fees include a hot meal, but for the last year the mother has been unable to pay the fees. YIDA staff decided to visit them and assess the situation, following which the family applied for sponsorship support from the HelpKids programme to educate their children.

Elizabeth and her children have good relationships with neighbours who help and support them to survive.

The mother is a tailor, doing small repairs to clothes, which raises a little money to support the family, although it is not enough to survive.

Sponsorship support needed: 20.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: With your support through Help Kids, you will provide one child every day with a hot meal, school uniform, school supplies and basic health care - first aid for school children.

Stephane Murula has already found a donor family.
THANK YOU!🙂
