Parent/Guardian: Nassali Maureen - Aunt

Child's situation:

Divine lives in the Nabweru North II slum on the outskirts of Kampala in a rented house and the environment is not conducive to raising girls unaided. Her parents have been unable to care for her, so they have given her to the care of her aunt Nassali, who is unemployed and unable to cover all the costs needed for the child to go to school.

They cannot receive social benefits because of administrative irregularities related to their way of life.
As it stands, they have no basic source of income and the family is dependent on donations and support from well-wishers.
Support is essential to ensure the child's education and basic living needs.
School fees, which include food, will provide for the basic necessities of life in addition to education.
If we help this child to get a good education, he or she may be able to help other children in need in the future.

Family income: No stable income, no social benefits, just donations and income from casual work in the neighbourhood, most often for food.

 

Sponsorship support needed: 35.-€/month,

Sponsorship will cover: school fees, school supplies, school uniform, hot lunch, basic medicines and first aid for children at school.
