The food parcels arrived in the war-torn towns of Bucha and Irpin, where they were handed over directly into the hands of the local population by our ADRA Ukraine staff.
The food aid packages, which many of you have supported with donations in our ADRA HelpShop, have already found their recipients on the Ukrainian side. One of them is Viktor, who is 60 years old and lives in Irpin (near Kiev). Despite the difficult struggles, he and his wife decided to stay in the town and take care of their relatives. However, his 20-year-old daughter Tatiana left the town during the fighting and ran for hours through the forests to reach Kiev and from there successfully to the west of Ukraine.
Viktor received a 15 kg food aid package from us today and immediately invited his neighbours to treat them. Although he did not know what was in the package yet, he added with a smile that it must be „something very useful and good“.
Because of the bloody fighting and landmines, these towns have so far been inaccessible and humanitarian aid has struggled to reach them. However, our collaborators have found a way to get it here. That is why we plan to intensify our assistance to this area in the coming days.
But that's not all. In the ADRA warehouse in Košice, our volunteers are preparing another 1,320 packages of food aid and hygiene items, which will again fill a 20-tonne truck.

Thank you for making it possible to help people who are in crisis because of the war conflict, thanks to your support. The purchase of food for this shipment was also significantly supported by the EPH Foundation.
Together we will help more.
