The result of our journey is more than 1000 km across Slovakia and joy in the eyes of children and adults who, due to difficult life situations, cannot spend holidays at home or enjoy a little rest and joy.

 

Like a proper long-distance bus, we didn't miss any part of Slovakia. In Košice we handed over material aid HOUSE DSS, which provides help for people with different levels of dependency - from supported housing to specialist facilities. In Bačkovo we visited a re-education centre for children aged 11 to 15, to whom we dedicated various board games to enrich the moments spent together.

 

In central Slovakia, we were already waiting for clients from DSS Pohorelská Maša and in addition to actively helping to fill the warehouse, they invited us to visit them where we reminisced together about summer camp and planned further joint activities with our volunteers.

 

The south of Slovakia belonged to the aid OZ Good Hearts, which helps families in need throughout the region. We are glad that we were able to contribute to making many families' holidays more joyful.

 

We finished our journey in Senec, where the civic association Občianska Pomoc SK helps refugees from Ukraine who have found temporary shelter here.
