Serbia Covid-19

Health care for homeless people in Serbia

In partnership with ADRA Serbia, we are providing hygiene services and access to healthcare for homeless people in Belgrade during the covid-19 pandemic. The project enables homeless people to benefit from our hygiene packages as well as Drumodom - an innovative mobile sanitation facility. Our activities also include outreach health services aimed at preventing the spread of the covid-19 virus.

Situation:

There are approximately 15,000 homeless people in Belgrade and its surroundings. Already difficult living conditions have been further complicated by the covid-19 pandemic. Advice such as „Stay at home“ or „Wash your hands“ is impossible to follow when you do not have a home or access to satisfactory standards of hygiene. This makes homeless people particularly vulnerable to possible contagion and its further spread.

Partners:

ADRA Slovakia - coordination and administrative support of the project

ADRA Serbia - implementation of field activities, organization of local health teams

SlovakAid - financial support

Support our project

You can support our help for homeless people in Belgrade by purchasing a hygiene package or by paying for a medical examination at the helpshop.
