ADRA Slovakia invites you 18 April at 6pm to Artkin in Petržalka behind the mirror at a screening of the award-winning French film ‚Alternating Care‘ (Jusqu᾿à la garde, 2017, 93 min). The film, on the dark but important topic of violence in families, will be followed by discussion with ADRA KIT experts (Crisis Intervention Team), which comprehensively helps victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Slovakia. In addition to intervention, social adaptation and rehabilitation or advocacy, their activities also include violence prevention and education in the form of public events. That is why they invite you to this screening with discussion.

About the film ‚Alternate care‘:
The slide shows that domestic violence is not easy, that it is not something that comes and goes. You have to be constantly alert. The person who is threatening you doesn't want to just let you go. And if you have a son with him, it becomes his biggest weapon. In a custody battle, your testimony stands against his. And the judge may not rule in your favor. O Crisis intervention team (KIT):
As part of the free legal aid project, ADRA Slovensko workers identified the need to speak out about violence and to help victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Slovakia. Currently, they provide comprehensive legal and psycho-social services to almost four dozen people with the aim of helping them: to get out of the cycle of manipulation in a violent relationship and start living a new life with dignity.
